I’ve been practising yoga on and off for 20 years. My yoga practice saw me through several major life events; I learnt to bend so I didn’t break.
Faced with an empty nest at home and a desire to do something different after 26 years as a Science Teacher, I decided to undertake my 200hr RYT at the Yoga Skyros Academy in Greece.
I’m particularly interested in “yoga for life” and I offer Hatha yoga classes with a strong focus on aligning mind, body and spirit. I’m also interested in contact yoga classes…yoga for couples, colleagues and friends to build trust and confidence.
I now teach 8-10 classes a week including classes at Healthhaus.
I’m particularly sympathetic to those doing yoga to manage arthritis having used yoga to manage severe arthritis in my knee joints myself (one knee replacement and serious about avoiding another!)
I am a fully insured Level 1 Associate member of the Yoga Alliance Professionals and I’m licensed as a Sole Trader with the States of Jersey.
I practice yoga to keep peace in my mind, strength in my body and love in my heart.
I practice yoga, not to get better at yoga, but to get better at life.
