Over the 3 hours there will be guided sessions of mindfulness meditation, discussion and time for question and answers. Suitable for both complete beginners wanting a taste of several different meditation/mindfulness techniques and those who want to refresh their practice.

As part of the course you will be given links and scripts to continue on the practising at home. By the end of the course, you will have tried a wide range of meditations, to start focusing on the ones you find best works for you.

Session 1 – 2 – 3:15pm

  • Welcome
  • Talk around Mindfulness versus Meditation & the 4 Foundations
  • Awareness meditation ( 5-10 mins)
  • Breath and its importance on being Mindful
  • Mindfulness meditation – Breath – Explore your breath (10 mins)
  • Why acceptance is the key to calmness
  • Acceptance of Self (5 – 10 mins)

SHORT BREAK 

Session 2 – 3:20 – 4:20

  • Why we need to continue the practice of Embodiment
  • The Body Scan (10 mins)
  • Mindfulness Practice For your break
  • LONG BREAK (30 mins) – Mindful Practice, Mindful Walking, Awareness (bring your own lunch)

Session 3 – 4:20 – 5pm

  • No need to fear our thoughts
  • Meditation on thoughts
  • Why understanding change helps you to deal with emotions
